Smithville Lake
With 7,200 acres (2,900 ha) of water and sandy beaches, Smithville Lake is a very popular destination for visitors and residents of the area. Facilities include two full-service marinas which provide boat rentals, boat launches, swimming areas and a near-by golf course at Paradise Pointe. This lake is found northeast of Smithville on US Hwy 169 and is roughly 25 mi (40 km) from Kansas City.
